If you're anything like me you'll have lots of old photos hiding in drawers and cupboards that you haven't had the time to do anything with yet. Or worst still, the photos are long gone but you have hundreds of old negatives tucked away in storage and you have no idea what's on them. There are many places that will take your old negatives and convert them to digital files for you (check your local business directory). This will give you an opportunity to see what each photo is before you decide to print them out.
Scrapbooking your photos will allow you to display them in a style of your choosing. Long gone are the old and daggy photo albums that get hidden away in the hallway cupboard. Long gone are the photo albums arranged in chronological order. Scrapbooking allows you to arrange your photos in any way you choose, be it by theme, time period, or a mix and match of whatever takes your fancy. Some of the most popular themes are vacations, reunions, religious holidays, team events, birthdays, new arrivals, weddings; the list is virtually endless.
You can make individual scrapbooks for each theme or add different themed sections to a scrapbook. To help the themes stand out you can create a cover page for each theme and use the same colors and layout throughout that theme to keep it unified. When you take new photos you can get better organized for scrapbooking by sorting the photos into labeled envelopes. That way you'll have them on-hand and already themed for your next scrapbooking session. A themed scrapbook is much more enjoyable to look at than an old-fashioned photo album. You will be more eager to show visitors your photos when you know they look great. And your visitors will be amazed at how creative you are.
