How to Make a Disney Scrapbook

Making a Disney scrapbook can be as enjoyable as the trip itself.  Following the steps below will help you organize and create a scrapbook you will be proud to show off.

6 Steps for making a Disney scrapbook:

1.  Choose an album for your Disney scrapbook.  Many hobby and craft stores also sell Disney album kits.  These kits usually include an album, card stock, themed or printed paper, stickers and a few embellishments to get you started.  Buying an album kit might be your best option if you don't know where to begin.  These kits usually offer ideas in creating layouts using the contents of the kit.

2.  Look for ideas for page layouts.  You can browse for ideas in scrapbook magazines, idea books, or online.  Searching for page layout ideas online will save you money.  Many of the scrapbook magazines have their own website with a member gallery you can search through for ideas.  There are also idea books dedicated to Disney scrapbook page ideas with  a lot of detail and resources on the items used in the various layouts.

3.  Sketch your ideas and crate a supplies list from it.  Once you have discovered a few ideas you would like to try, you should do a rough sketch of the layout on a sheet of paper.  This will also help you create your list of supplies that will be needed to complete the layout.

4.  Shopping for supplies.  Now that you have a few sketches and your supplies list your are ready to purchase your items.  Most craft and hobby stores sell a wide variety of Disney themed scrapbook supplies.  Having your list prepared ahead of time allows you to shop for the best prices and avoid impulse purchases for items you don't need.  Check online prices as well for your items.

5.  Sort through your pictures.  Find the most appealing pictures for each layout.  Weed out pictures that are out of focus or cut off main subjects.  Try to narrow your choices down to no more than three to five pictures per two page layout.

6.  Assemble your layouts.  Assembling your Disney scrapbook layouts should be very easy and organized if you have followed all of the above steps.  Create your pages according to the sketches you drew and the supplies you purchased.  Adhere your pictures to your newly created layouts and you have created your Disney vacation scrapbook.
